Tai Chi Qigong Health LLC was founded in 2012 with the mission of providing safe and effective instruction of tai chi and qigong exercises to people of all ages and levels of fitness. Classes and private lessons are taught following Dr. Paul Lam’s Step-wise Progressive Teaching Method, which enables participants to easily learn the movements and principles of tai chi.
Director Ralph Quinn has practiced tai chi for over forty-five years, studying for many of those years under Maggie Newman, a senior student of late Professor Cheng Man-Ch’ing, until she retired at age 92 in 2016. Ralph teaches classes in tai chi and qigong at the ballroom studios of Dances By Diane in Westville, NJ (201 Broadway) and at the West Deptford Free Public Library in Thorofare, NJ. He also continues to study and practice tai chi and qigong with various teachers and colleagues in the Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. areas.
Ralph is currently focusing on the study of tai chi, nei gong, meditation, and push hands with Patrick Reece, a senior student of Sifu Adam Mizner, at the Philadelphia branch of Heaven Man Earth: Internal Arts International. He also attends annual tai chi workshops and summer camps offered by Mr. Lenzie Williams, senior student of Mr. Benjamin Pang-Jeng Lo, as well as takes workshops and private lessons with recognized teachers from Taiwan, such as Mr. Yuan Wei-Ming and Mr. Wu Rong-Wei. In recent years, Ralph has trained in qigong and qi healing under Master Fa-Xiang Hou, as well as with Brian Coffey and Fran Maher, who were senior students of the late Master Tzu Kuo Shih. He also continues to take workshops and private lessons with Master William Kuo-Piao Ting (Silver Tiger Tai Chi, Burlington, NJ) in the Wu Ji Jing Gong style of tai chi and qigong.
